Guadalupe is back in the arena again! Again, “she” finished the shooting smoothly, then, broken down again on the way back! LOL That’s right! Once again!Lady G gets the job done perfectly as always and today is the last day of filming in Death Valley. Thank God!
It was in the evening, everyone was sitting in the hotel, trying to figure out a way to fix Guadalupe before the next shooting day. Finally, we found a towing company in Lancaster (our next stop). They are willing to drive 4 hours to Death Valley in the early morning. and tow Guadalupe to the repair shop in Lancaster. In this way, we have a big chance to catch the rest shooting schedule.
As usual, Jera will sit with the towing car to the next stop and went back to LA. When I thinking about it, Jera and Yoona have been looking for 24 hours tow trucks and repair shops all over the world since we started filming <Under The Burning Sun>! And countless of the same things have happened over the past few weeks.
Today, the drive did not want to take Jera with him at first. Because he likes smoking and he was afraid that Jera would hate it. When Jera heard the reason, she laughed and threw a “Yunyan” (a Chinese tobacco brand) to the driver, “what a coincident, I also smoke!”
On the way back to LA, I pictured that the Armenian driver who came to us, guided by the light of the moon and stars. Then, carried with Guadalupe and Jera, smoking along the way to the next filming location, the scene makes me feel the world is quite beautiful.
Our shooting at Death Valley is over! It was beautiful, and our imagery is also beautiful, and it’s alive. Because our DP T doesn't want the picture just to be beauty, but to have the charming feeling that grows out of the story.
