Day 1 at 6:00am, we had a small traditional ceremony to the God in exchange of good luck!
Since all departments are friends who have been knowing each other for long time, everyone entered the working mode very quickly. First shooting day challenge comes at lunch time, due to the tight budget, the producing team is short of manpower and the preparation of lunch. While it’s something easy to overcome simply allocating budget to increase department cost and meal cost, this will inevitable create a gap to our overall budget management.
Breakfast of the Day
From the very beginning of today, I found that the director and dp have reached a considerable height in the co-creation of this project, and at the same time, the two have an excellent tacit understanding in terms of aesthetics and ideology. From the composition of the scene to the rhythm of the movement of the camera, it seems to be able to see a high degree of unity in creation, which is far exceeds our expectations.
In addition to these two most important creators, our lead actress Stephanie is deeply embedded in the play and stay in the characters from the second we begin shooting to the moment we are wrap for the day. The whole team are impressed how lucky we are to have such a talented actress. In fact, this actress wasn’t our initial choice. The actress who had almost signed a contract withdrew suddenly, which also caused everyone panic a little, but the result was beyond our expectations. I am amazed, and appreciated God’s arrangement.
Today, I can already see every member on the team has shown their love and creativity for this project. I hope that in the future whoever recall this moment will remember everyone’s passion, dedication and hard work in this project.
