We had a fight today! lol
This is roughly something we expected. After all, a long-term project will have such moments, especially when everyone lives together day and night, and quarrels and awkwardness are inevitable. As long as we can move past it, our #friendship will become more stronger.
This afternoon, the schedule was delayed for an hour due to the incorrect navigation. Especially, several cars got stuck in the sand while driving and everyone had to push them out two or three times. In a sweltering day like this, which consumed a fair amount of physical strength and time. So when they finally arrived at the right place, the team already felt drained and tired. However, without any rest, the director and DP disappeared immediately to find the shooting spot. The location is a sandstone hill. So the whole crew needs to climb up the mountain with no clear directions to search for the two. At that moment, the exhaustion and anxiety broke out. Some members began losing their tempers, then finished the day by holding all these grudges and bitterness.
When everyone returned to the base camp for dinner, it suddenly became a perfect timing to spit things out. It was amazing that no one was hiding their emotions since we knew each other for long time. They shared their feelings, they cried and they questioned… Personally, I think the biggest mistake fell on me and Jera, two producers were not on the scene and went for other errands. We thought it should be find, but obviously things went wrong every time when you assumed the best scenario. After a long conversation, we established rules for future work. Ultimately, everyone was thinking nothing but the best of the project, and this little “storm” truly deepened our connections with each other.
It really was a long night, full of wine and food…
