It’s the last day at Bombay Beach, the team is getting better and better! Although each member is wearing more than one hat, they were still well-organized, handled everything skillfully and easily.
I want to end my last post at Bombay Beach with Yoona. It is so very lucky to have her to be in the project. Yoona is born in the ‘00s, a Gen Z we first worked with and she played an important position as a line producer. Though Yoona looks small but she has powerful soul. As a young line producer, Jera gradually increased the intensity of her tasks, and she has been exceeding our expectations! She gave Jera excellent support in all aspects and been taking care every team members in such a difficult environment.
Before the shooting, I was worried that Yoona might not to be fully adapt into this harsh working conditions. Unexpectedly, she is strong and not showing any signs of tiredness. The producing team’s house happened to have a broken air conditioner and no hot water. Yoona never complained about it, rather, she maintained a very positive state and even being the cheerleaders of the team!
Many times, people said experience in this line of work is very important, and I don't deny it. However, young filmmakers are not inexperienced. They are dedicated to their passion and willing to take challenges with no hesitation. It is their fearlessness that makes the industry to move forward, allowing more young audiences to go to the theaters, and even making the industry continue to innovate and progress.
Thank you Yoona! Thank you for participating in our project, and thank you for making our filming at Bombay Beach with ease like a cold breeze in this desert hot.
First week is over, see y'all at Joshua Tree!
