A Glimpse Of Professionalism | A Diary Of Making Under The Burning Sun - Day 4
4/7/2022 - Bombay Beach
[Check Project Details 👉 Under The Burning Sun ]
Today's schedule is divided into two parts, starting at 4:30am to catch sunrise, finishing the morning part at 9:00am, break, and continued at 5:00 pm until midnight.
Ski Inn - The "lowest bar in the western hemisphere"
So! It means, we have some free time! Some people went to the only pub in town (Ski Inn) to grab a drink, and some people hurriedly to get some shut-eye. Only the producing team kept busy. Chris barely took a 15 minutes short nap, and drove out to restock all essentials. The nearest supermarket takes two hour back and forth, and he had to get things done during the hottest time in the afternoon 🥵. Jera and Yoona cleaned up the base camp and even completed a “mass murder mission” of flies. At five o'clock in the afternoon, when everyone gathered on time, the base camp was even cleaner than the first day we arrived, and the meals were all ready. If this is a project that's mostly shot in the studio, or shot only for key scenes, then none of this would be surprising. However, as a project that's constantly running around, these can be quite demanding on budget and manpower. Thank you to the producing team for taking care of everyone! It sounds like a small matter, but I know it is never something small.
The night schedule includes some action scenes. Our old friend, the stunt director Umar, and his colleagues, gave us three completely different movements, and everyone was amazed. The rehearsal and the discussion about each scene reflected a very high level of professionalism. They are the specialist only masters his own field. I believe that behind every project, there are countless filmmakers like Umar, who keep low profile, professional and trustworthy.
Love you and good night! 💤
