Today is April.20th, our producer Jera’s birthday and she received all kinds of “surprises” on set. 😛
This two days, we have been shooting one of the most difficult parts of this film. The climax of emotion with two cars “chasing and communicating” in the desert. However, before the emotional scene started, our picture cars — Taquila and Gadalupe went down again. But surprisingly, they stopped right at the point where the next scene will be taken place, and they can stay there for two days. How did we get so lucky!!! Everyone felt so grateful at that moment. Our Production Designer Dong, even knelt down, bowing low to the ground, and worship the sun! 😭
In the end, we completed filming without any troubles, but the two cars couldn’t move. So we have to have someone to stay in the desert, in case the cars get towed or vandalized. So Ben and I decided to stay overnight in the RV, and wait for the team to come the next day.
In order to make us stay comfortable, the crews show their love with all kinds of food, drinks and even cakes! Suddenly, the RV was full of stuff. It’s a little funny, but at the same time, a little touching...
While Ben and I stayed in the RV, under the starry sky, there was the quietness, you can hear the wind blow and coyote’s howling. Before going to bed, Ben said this is going to be the most important week for him in many years. For me, I couldn’t agree more.
I had a good night sleep in RV and I wish everyone have a nice dream
